Fibre Coupled AOM

Gooch & Housego a leading global manufacturer of high power laser components has launched their new Fibre Coupled AOM designed for use in pulsed fibre laser amplifier systems, achieving optimum performance in demanding applications such as material processing. The Fibre Q takes fibre-coupled acousto-optics to a new level, offering a high reliability, rugged and compact hermetically sealed package. The device is optimised to achieve low insertion loss with high extinction ratio and optical power handling. This has been achieved through the development of a new manufacturing platform combining the group's world renowned capabilities in both acousto-optics and fibre packaging.
